This song started life in a friend’s flat in Manchester, it grew in a field of campions in Roskrow, it was recorded in an old lemonade factory in Falmouth, mixed in an old stable near Constantine, mastered in a robot’s brain, illustrated by one who knows its essence and now, 2 years later, it finds its way to you through a Blue Satsuma.

Happy New Year!
New year, new website, lots to do!
Here's a brief rundown of the current projects.
Mud and Noise - Alfie Gidley
This is a slow burn project of mine. A solo, full band album with loose themes of west Africa and absurdism. I'll be releasing tracks as they come ready and then collecting them into a full album when they are all out of the bag. Keep watching!
In the Forale - Alfie Gidley
An album of solo guitar pieces. The cream of the crop from the last 10 years (!) of my fingerstyle writing. I've recorded it twice and still can't get it right. Bear with me.
2020 Album - Small Band
Small Band is myself, Ben Tidy of Satu Bule Jelek and bassman, Tom Carr. Since 2018 we have been getting together and going on massive writing benders in the studio. It's experimental and fusion and extremely danceable. We now have a huge amount of material which just needs polishing up for release. 2020 is the year we drop our debut album. Watch this space for our releases as we're too busy jamming to make our own website.
Hannah Sedgwick and Helen Spear have been dropping into the studio regularly to record tasty Balkan, Klezmer and self-penned material. I'll try to post snippets of this as we go.
Session booked in 2 weeks! Let's see what happens.
